At the B.E.T. Awards last night, Big Sean killed his performance along side Chris Brown, who is now able to claim being the Prince of R&B once again. When I saw him hit the stage I was in ‘awwwwwwwwww’ literally. His outfit was SO FRICKIN’ CUTE!
Rocking a blue blazer, one of the sickest shirts I have ever seen, a leather Detroit Lions fitted cap, and vintage Air Jordans. His performance was crazy, but I loved the outfit even more. Get It Big Sean!

Southern Baptists Choose a Black Leader–Good Move

The meeting of the Southern Baptists this week in Phoenix revealed an interesting surprise. In an effort to increase minority representation in its ranks, the group has elected an African American pastor to become First Vice President. This is the first time in the group’s history that this move has been made.
Rev. Fred Luter Jr. was the man selected for the post, elected on Tuesday to help run the nation’s largest Protestant denomination. The group is seeing declining membership levels, and in response, has been working to bring minorities into the fold. Executive Committee President and CEO Frank Page has admitted that there needs to be “measurable information” to help the Southern Baptists evaluate their progress on race relations.

Boy Killed Outside of High School Birthday Party

Ryan Royall, 17…
As an amazing student and standout basketball player at Hillcrest High School, Ryan Royall hoped that his love for basketball would one day help him to be able to get a scholarship to go off to college… But all of his dreams of going to college and making a better life for himself and his family were shattered on June 5th at approximately 12:30 a.m.
Royall was leaving a birthday party at Ho-Chunk Sports and Expo Center in south suburban Lynwood with his friend, Olajuwan Harris on that Sunday night. As they headed to their car they heard a disturbance in another parking lot and right after that gun shots rang out. Both of the boys hit the ground.

Plaxico Burress To Get out of Prison Soon
Former NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress is expected to be released from a New York prison today after serving 20 months in prison for a weapons charge stemming from a shooting incident at a nightclub.
