Notorious Gang Members Given Long Sentences for Atlanta Crime Sprees

On Monday five "Sur-13″ gang members were sentenced to federal prison on charges of carjacking and firearms possession, announced the U.S. Attorney's Office.

sur 13, black news, african american newsThe defendants, also known as Sureños-13, began their reign of terror on Dec. 12, 2008 committing crimes across the greater Atlanta area Clayton, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton and Gwinnett counties, armed with AK-47s and assorted weapons. Their spree came to an abrupt end following a police chase and subsequent wreck that left one juvenile member dead.
